Single Conductor Cables
Hookup Wire. Lead Wire. Single Conductor Power Cable. These are all synonyms for the same thing: single conductor with insulation.
Used in many applications: appliances, motors, autos, machine tools, and electric panels. The list goes on and on as this most common of all electric cables powers our daily lives.
Look for the UL and CSA markings so you are assured that the products meet USA and Canadian standards, are readily usable in the right equipment, and have passed stringent electrical and performance tests.
Automotive hookup wire is made to SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standards or Internation Standards Organizaion (ISO) standards. Although automotive cables are not typically marked on the cables themselves, rest assured that Admiral Cable products built to these standards are safe and reliable in automotive applications.
Temperature, voltage, and material requirements can be complicated, so make sure to discus with your Admiral Cable representative which wire is appropriate for your application.
